The Lure of the Road

Many people have always dreamed of touring the UK or abroad in a caravan – but have always baulked at the price. You can expect to pay as much as £20,000 or even more for a decent specification caravan and this is simply outside of many people's budget.

And yet this form of transport is very attractive to many people, especially families, due to the flexibility and convenience that a caravan offers. It is, however, possible to buy used caravans at a much more reasonable price and if you choose carefully there is no reason why you should not be able to get a very good caravan for a very good price.

Some people choose to buy their used caravan through the private ads, and they are often cheaper than from dealerships, but they are bought as seen, and so there is no come back if anything goes wrong with the vehicle.

Many people prefer the security of buying through a dealership. They usually come with a warranty and the buyer knows that the caravan has been cleaned professionally from top to bottom. They also have the benefit of a wider selection and can take advice from an expert.

Take your time and see what is on the market, compare prices, and read reviews in the various magazines and internet sites, and you may soon be driving a bargain.
