So many boys dream that when they grow up they will become a train driver, an astronaut, a fireman or a truck driver! They play with cars and trucks when they are small and up to the age of six or seven they are absolutely obsessed with everything relating to transport.
They imagine themselves with train driver jobs and play the part in their fun and games. They love to play with train sets and racing cars. In fact this never goes away as they progress to Scalextrix when they are older! They still have that same obsession with transport and this theme continues throughout their life.
As they reach the age where they can drive, they actually get to drive their first car! This is the highlight of their teenage years as they finally get to live their dream. Many of them never actually go into careers where they get to drive trucks, planes or fire-engines but the fascination never leaves them.
They continue to live out their fantasy with games consoles where they can imagine that they are real racing drivers and pit their skills against their friends.
It then turns full circle when they become a father to their first son and they again get to play with the trucks, cars, fire engines and train sets of their boyhood.
