Drive to Italy Rather than Fly

If you are thinking about a holiday to Italy, then there are a couple of ways that you can get there. You can fly, of course, which will give you more time to see the sites of the country, but you could also opt to drive.

By travelling in your own vehicle, you would get the chance to see other countries along the way, and also would have more independence when you arrives in Italy. This would give you the chance to stay in small villages, stay in a family run albergo and really get to see a side to Italy that many people do not.

If driving from the UK, you would need to remember that in Europe, they drive on the right hand side. This means that not only should you prepare for this mentally, but also, that you must buy a kit which will change the direction your front lights shine.

These kits are quite inexpensive, and can consist of stickers. You will also need to bear in mind, that passing through France, they have different driving rules. For example, by law you would need to keep a fire extinguisher, a high viz vest and safety triangles.

Driving to Italy can make for a fun holiday, and will give you the independence to do exactly what you like when you are there.
